Of course we all know the Swine Flu is the big buzz right now, but is it really a threat? It seems like most of the news uses words like 'probable', 'possible', and 'maybe'. We have no idea what kind of health the individuals who have 'possibly' fallen ill to the flu were in before they 'maybe' contracted it. I do know one thing, and that is that it certainly can't hurt to be prepared 'just in case'. If it's not the Swine Flu, it's SARS, or the Bird Flu, or even the common flu bug. While we don't want to forget to take the obvious measures (washing our hands often, staying home if we're sick, etc.) it is also a good idea to build up our immune systems so that if we do get exposed to 'possibly' the Swine Flu, we have prepared.
Have you ever heard of Thieves Oil? The story goes that four thieves in France used this aromatic blend to protect themselves from the Black Plague while they robbed its victims. We found that Young Living had a proprietary blend of a similar concoction that is made from 100% pure therapeutic-grade essential oils (as opposed to synthetic, 'smell good' only oils). The blend includes clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus radiata, and rosemary. This blend has been university tested and found to be highly effective against airborne bacteria.

Another way to prepare for Swine Flu or pandemic exposure is with HEPA masks. You want to make sure to get the ones that are the 99.97% HEPA filter to be sure they will protect against airborne diseases. These are relatively inexpensive (depending on where you get them, from $3.50 to $5.00).
Lastly, a good idea is to use air vent filters in your home. The ones we recommend aren't just any old filter to put over your vents. We are talking about ones that attract sub-micron allergens, but also ones that filter out bacteria, mold, and spores.
So whether the Swine Flu is a real threat, or the 'Powers That Be' are using an insignificant threat to alarm us to capitalize on it (forced vaccines?), it's never a bad idea to keep your immune system in great standing and prepare for airborne dangers.
